 Prior to founding Pharos Law Group, Ryan Jensen worked in Chicago for two of the world’s leading law firms and worked at one of Utah’s premier law firms. He received extensive legal training at these firms, but he was often frustrated by the “impersonal” nature of large international business entities and the lack of opportunities to assist families and individuals in a meaningful way.
When Ryan eventually decided to venture out on his own, his prior law firm experiences led him to focus exclusively on estate planning. He is now able to provide his clients with a full range of basic and advanced estate, legacy, and financial planning options.
Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Russian in 1997 from Utah State University magna cum laude. He continued his education at J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, where in 2001 he earned a juris doctorate magna cum laude.
Ryan is married, with three children. He is very active in his church and is an Eagle Scout. Ryan is also an avid cyclist and runner (two marathons), and he enjoys most other sports. When reading for enjoyment (rather than legal education), he enjoys just about anything by Dickens, Tolstoy, and Dumas.
